 PAYS DES ECRINS VIA FERRATA :


Sentier de la Combe Via Ferrata

Recreational route along the Combe river in the Narreyroux valley. Easy for families. Takes between 1 and 1.1/2 hours. Length 800 m Free.


Le Colombier/La Balme Via Ferrata

Two versions of the same route - easy one on the left or more physically demanding on the right. Both lead you rapidly high above the village of les Vigneaux.


Les Gorges de la Durance Via Ferrata

3 via ferratas ranging from easy to difficult. The most difficult passes from one bank to the other by means of 5 footbridges - one is a 50 metres long adrenaline rush. Athletic with several overhanging sections and a great take off on a 100 m pillar. Entrance fee.


L'Horloge Via Ferrata

Especially adapted for kids with equipment placed close together. You need to pull up on your arms at the end which is slightly overhanging. A good first test before taking them on to more difficult things! Free.


La Grande Falaise Via Ferrata

Great classic route put up in 1988 with 2 sections on magnificent rock. A booklet introducing the valley and its habitat - fauna, flora and geology - is available at the Tourist info points in the Freissinières valley. Entrance fee.


Tournoux Via Ferrata

Easy and exposed Takes between 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Length 250 metres. Free This is one of the most popular via ferratas in France with its 200 metre long descent" l'Oreac". Free
