The pays des Ecrins is really adapted to nordic skiing with 3 really different spots : download the nordic runs map (pdf format).
Vallouise has over 30 km of marked tracks, making it the ideal site for all lovers of cross country skiing whether beginners or advanced skiers, an example is the track of the Onde valley.
At Puy Saint Vincent, beginners and advanced cross country skiers alike will find something to suit them amongst the 30 km of marked and prepared technical trails. With great snow conditions and 360° fantastic views the Têtes tour is a guaranteed change of scenery.
In the great Freissinières valley, you will find a free access spot to discover cross country skiing on 15 km of tracks.

NORDIC ITINERARIES AND NORDIC RUNS
You will find in the following charts the state (in french) of each nordic itinerary (runs not securised where skiing, walking and snow shoeeing is allowed, you ski there under your own responsability) and nordic runs (securised runs for alternative and skating cross country skiers only) on the whole territory of the Pays des Ecrins. These charts are updated every days. See on the map (download higher) to see where are the runs.
