Now in its 18th year, the ICE CLIMBING ECRINS is a must for the 800 glaciarists from over 30 different countries who come for the environment, the professionals and the media. And it is also an important event for the Pays des Ecrins - a veritable Ice Palace full of passion, fun and thrills.

New in 2008 :
ICE 2008 has adopted an environmental dimension in keeping with the existing sporting, security conscious and social spirit .Our natural playground is becoming more and more precious and we would like to combine habit with" green" awareness. The huge Bivouac evening was one of the high points of the event with big bonfires, giant cauldrons of soup and mulled wine, films, entertainment and shows, and night in tents.
