Here for the week

Winter activities may be linked to the snow and ice... or not!

Snow sports!

In the alpine ski areas, you’ll enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow scooting or ski touring. As for the Nordic ski or pedestrian areas, you’ll be able to go snowshoeing. Set out to encounter some of the winter wildlife (squirrels, chamois, roe deer) or at night, either alone or with a guide, observe the winter sky that is so clear here that you can see the storytelling constellations.

But you can also skate, try out mushing with sleigh dogs or use a snow mobile.

Holidays are for doing the things we don’t usually do.

With a guide you can try ice climbing or dry tooling, paraglide over the Écrins… Or simply do nothing, make the most of the present moment and the sunshine on a terrace or at the mountain restaurant.

Take care of yourself and your well-being.

Evenings are ideal for relaxation and wellness activities: Nordic bath, spa, etc. Thanks to a mobile sauna, you will enjoy a new experience and stimulate your circulation with real birch branches just like in Siberia! And to make sure you are fully relaxed, treat yourself to a massage.

During the day, meditation and yoga activities are possible and you can try different, more spiritual methods of walking and hiking (Himalayan, Afghan, Nordic).

For the more curious

The Écrins National Park Centre explains wildlife throughout the seasons.

A little further, on the way to Briançon, the Geology and Geopark Centre makes an interesting visit because the mountains tell the history of the world and geologists know how to interpret them! You will learn how a silver mine came to exist in the Fournel Valley, for instance.

Events

There will be several events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Puy Saint Vincent resort and the Winter Olympics at the Igloo-Pelvoo!

Ask for the programme: it is available in the Tourist Information Offices across the Pays des Écrins.
