The mountains all around us are huge, but we\u2019re just \u201cchilling.\u201d <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the summer, we often head up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paysdesecrins.com\/en\/my-resort-my-village\/puy-saint-vincent\/\">Puy Saint Vincent<\/a>. We walk along the slopes, take pictures, and have fun. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paysdesecrins.com\/en\/my-resort-my-village\/pelvoux-vallouise-ailefroide\/\">Pelvoux-Vallouise<\/a>, it\u2019s quieter, and that\u2019s exactly what makes it so nice. You sit down in the grass, and there\u2019s no one around.<br\/>When it\u2019s hot, we often end up by the river. <strong>Feet in the water, music on the phone<\/strong>\u2014and finally, <strong>the stress melts away.<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-column\"><div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-image\"><div class=\"wrapper\"><div class=\"group-media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paysdesecrins.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/la-voie-verte-geotrek4jpg-2-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"single_image ws-image-198461\"><div class=\"credits\"><\/div><\/div><p class=\"caption\"><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-columns alignwide has-2-columns are-vertically-aligned-center layout-5050\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-column\"><div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-image\"><div class=\"wrapper\"><div class=\"group-media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paysdesecrins.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/08-07-24-mets-et-spiritueux-41-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"single_image ws-image-51459\"><div class=\"credits\"><\/div><\/div><p class=\"caption\"><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-column\"><div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-title is-style-default\"><h2><em>But at night,<\/em>we go out!<br><\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because, yes, even here, things are happening.<br\/>We often start out in L\u2019Argenti\u00e8re-la-Bess\u00e9e, at <strong>a bar where you always know someone<\/strong>. A beer on the patio, music, locals, and seasonal workers. People are talking loudly, laughing, and staying out late.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes we also head up to Vallouise or Pelvoux. There are fewer bars, but the atmosphere is more laid-back. A drink, long conversations, and often<strong> unexpected encounters<\/strong>. Everyone knows each other a little, even when you\u2019ve just arrived.   <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In the summer, when it\u2019s crowded, you might end up in Puy Saint Vincent, especially during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.puysaintvincent.com\/decouvrir-station\/evenements-animations\">evenings or events<\/a>. It\u2019s not a big town, but when it comes alive, you know it right away.<br\/>We head home late, with the windows down and the music not too loud. The road is quiet, the sky is clear, and you get that strange feeling of being far from everything but exactly where you need to be.  <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-title aligncenter\"><h3><em>The next day, we <\/em>get up a little late<\/h3><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Coffee on the patio, sunglasses<\/strong>, a slightly hoarse voice. And we set off walking again, as if nothing had happened. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the weekend, my friend often says to me, \u201cI thought it would be dead here.\u201d And I just laugh.<br\/>The Pays des \u00c9crins isn\u2019t a nonstop party.
