Located at an altitude of 1,250 m, the village resort of Pelvoux-Vallouise includes the hamlets of Pelvoux, Vallouise and Ailefroide, labelled “Mountaineering Village” in the heart of the \u00c9crins National Park. In summer, sports enthusiasts and families will find what they are looking for between panoramic walks to the Glacier Blanc, via ferrata, mountain bike rides, paragliding flights or rafting. Mountaineering enthusiasts can set off from Ailefroide on the classic glacial and rocky routes, accompanied by the guides of the \u00c9crins. At the foot of thousand-year-old peaks and glaciers, the atmosphere is warm and authentic, inviting you to discover the local heritage and recharge your batteries in the middle of nature. <\/p>\n\n

Located between 1,250 and 2,300 m above sea level, Vallouise-Pelvoux offers 25 km of marked slopes served by seven ski lifts, suitable for skiers of all levels. Ski touring enthusiasts can take the Pr\u00e9ron chairlift to join the route to La Blanche (2,953 m), with its 1,138 m of vertical drop downhill. In winter, the Vallouise-Pelvoux take-off site remains accessible by chairlift, offering paragliders a direct flight over the Vallouise with a unique panorama of the peaks of the \u00c9crins. Located on the edge of the \u00c9crins National Park<\/strong>, the Pelvoux-Vallouise high-altitude area rises to 2,300 m and offers more than 30 km of marked trails<\/strong>, from family walks to more sporty routes to glacial lakes and viewpoints. At the top of the resort, a take-off area<\/strong> welcomes autonomous paragliders or tandem paragliders for flights over the Vallouise and the mythical peaks of the \u00c9crins. On the access side, hiking packages allow access to the hiking routes and other packages dedicated to paragliding<\/strong> allow several ascents per day. Finally, a swimming pool at the foot of the slopes invites you to relax after the effort, in a friendly village setting. <\/p>\n\n

Pelvoux-Vallouise is a human-sized, family-friendly<\/strong> resort where skiing and other mountain activities rub shoulders with the same slopes. Ailefroide, land of<\/em>climbing and mountaineering<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ailefroide is an emblematic hamlet at the foot of Mont Pelvoux, the last village in the Vallouise valley and gateway to major mountaineering races in the \u00c9crins massif. Its name, “Alpe froide”, reminds us that the sun is more discreet in winter, but it is especially in summer that the site vibrates: a mecca for climbing (historic multi-pitch routes and mountain trails) and mountaineering, it houses the guides’ office created in 1957 and serves as a starting point for the Pelvoux refuges, du S\u00e9l\u00e9 or the Pr\u00e9 de Madame Carle.
