Once again this year, the resort is hosting major competitions: the <strong>men\u2019s FIS Alpine Skiing [GS\/SL] race and the women\u2019s FIS Alpine Skiing [GS] race<\/strong>. These spectacular events will showcase the world\u2019s top international skiers in two disciplines: <strong>Giant Slalom<\/strong> and <strong>Slalom<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=314&#038;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FBFMDICI%2Fvideos%2F563186326493280%2F&#038;show_text=false&#038;width=560&#038;t=0\" width=\"660\" height=\"414\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-title\" data-season=\"allseasons\"><h4>High-level <em>ski races<\/em><\/h4><\/div>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Giant Slalom (GS)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Giant Slalom<\/strong>, or \u201cGiant,\u201d is a highly technical race. On a course longer than that of the traditional slalom, competitors must navigate gates spaced at irregular intervals while reaching impressive speeds. Agility, precision, and the ability to link turns at high speed are crucial to success in this event.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Slalom<\/strong><br\/><strong>Slalom<\/strong> is an even more technical event, in which skiers must weave through gates set very close together. It\u2019s a true test of agility and reaction time, where every millisecond counts. The slightest mistake can be costly, and falls are common in this intense discipline.  <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-image\"><div class=\"wrapper\"><div class=\"group-media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paysdesecrins.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/dsc06743-1-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"single_image ws-image-60836\"><div class=\"credits\"><\/div><\/div><p class=\"caption\"><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Highlights of the event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>An exceptional setting<\/strong>: Puy Saint Vincent offers majestic views and slopes renowned for their technical challenges. With its high altitude and ideal snow conditions, the resort is an ideal venue for international competitions. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The top athletes in the competition<\/strong>: This FIS event attracts talented skiers from all over the world who are looking to earn crucial points toward qualifying for major competitions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A friendly, sports-oriented atmosphere<\/strong>: Watch top-level performances while enjoying the resort&#8217;s warm and welcoming atmosphere.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Practical Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access<\/strong>: The competition courses will be easily accessible to spectators.
