Puy Saint Vincent <\/em>circuit of narreyroux<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

3 villages<\/strong>, 3 atmospheres<\/strong>, 3 types of landscapes <\/strong>for this loop starting from Puy Saint Vincent 1400, which starts first towards the small hamlets of Prey d’Aval<\/strong> and Prey d’Amont<\/strong>, before returning by a steep but very<\/strong> pleasant<\/strong> climb to PuySaint VinCent 1600. We cross the heart of the resort from above, before entering the forest<\/strong>, after a last look at the Condamine and Chambran, on a single track towards the paradisiacal hamlet <\/strong>of Narreyroux<\/strong>, secretly hidden in its valley<\/strong>. After admiring the view<\/strong> for a long time, it’s straight ahead, downhill along the stream, to the Saint Vincent chapel. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vallouise<\/em>Wave circuit<\/h3><\/div>\n\n

The perfect circuit for a family walk<\/strong>, or a recovery outing<\/strong>, along the Onde torrent, under the freshness of the larches<\/strong>, with the added bonus of the soothing sound of the torrent <\/strong>that accompanies you throughout the route. Very easy <\/strong>and accessible <\/strong>to all, this route is ideal for discovering part of the Vallouise<\/strong> valley, from the Onde <\/strong>to the Gyronde<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Pelvoux<\/em> Boiler circuit<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Next to or above the Gyr<\/strong> torrent, this trail is perfect <\/strong>for admiring the Pelvoux<\/strong> valley, alternating easy <\/strong>portions<\/strong> on the forest track and some technical but affordable portions<\/strong>, which make it an ideal route <\/strong>for the introduction to mountain<\/strong> biking<\/strong>. The climb to the Chambran <\/strong>valley <\/strong>would almost make you want to continue climbing towards this atypical hamlet, but the desire to contemplate the Pelvoux <\/strong>and the other peaks of the\u00c9crins <\/strong>on a superb balcony <\/strong>path <\/strong>is too strong, so you continue your journey to Vallouise<\/strong>, before returning to Pelvoux, along the Gyr.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Puy Saint Vincent<\/em> col de la pousterle<\/h3><\/div>\n\n

A superb <\/strong>balcony <\/strong>path along the mountains of Puy Saint Vincent, starting from the resort of 1800. The path goes into the forest <\/strong>to come out on the Tournoux <\/strong>clearing <\/strong>where you can stop for a moment to admire the superb<\/strong> chalets<\/strong>. The opening of the view also allows you to observe the T\u00eate <\/strong>d’Amont <\/strong>on the other side of the valley, and the Pelvoux behind you. Once you set off again, there are only a few pedal strokes to arrive on the Pousterle <\/strong>plateau <\/strong>and its flowery meadows <\/strong>and picturesque little streams<\/strong>. We push a little further than the pass to have the view of the Fournel valley <\/strong>which is only <\/strong>revealed at the last moment. <\/p>\n\n

Puy Saint Vincent<\/em> Big heads<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Same start as for the Col de la Pousterle<\/strong>, but this time, we pedal a little more<\/strong> to climb to the top of the T\u00eates<\/strong>, which dominates the Durance valley<\/strong> and the town of l’Argenti\u00e8re.<\/strong> From the summit, you can see the entire Queyras chain<\/strong>, from Brian\u00e7on <\/strong>to Vars<\/strong>. The return is through the forest <\/strong>to ensure a peaceful<\/strong> descent<\/strong>, where you can admire Mount Pelvoux <\/strong>and the Cucumelle <\/strong>which can be seen in the distance. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

L’Argenti\u00e8re-La Bess\u00e9e<\/em> The turn of the heads<\/h3><\/div>\n\n

Starting from Argenti\u00e8re-la-Bess\u00e9e, this route is demanding <\/strong>but the effort is more than worth it.<\/strong> We first climb towards the Fournel valley,<\/strong> along the torrent<\/strong>, before attacking the long climb<\/strong> to the Col de la Pousterle<\/strong>. Very regular<\/strong>, this climb is much faster than<\/strong> you could have imagined, especially thanks to the view that changes with each bend.<\/strong> The Pousterle plateau <\/strong>is a blessing for the eyes, and a little for the legs too, before attacking the descent<\/strong>, steep <\/strong>and technical <\/strong>on a very beautiful single, towards the Argenti\u00e8re. <\/p>\n\n

L’Argenti\u00e8re-La Bess\u00e9e<\/em> col d’anon – col des lauzes<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A very beautiful loop<\/strong> starting from the Fournel<\/strong> valley, which rises in shady undergrowth<\/strong> towards the Col des<\/strong> Lauzes<\/strong>, from where you can discover the long valley of Freissini\u00e8res,<\/strong> with the hamlet of Dormillouse <\/strong>at the bottom of the valley. As a pass is not enough for a day, a balcony path<\/strong> quickly leads to the Col d’Anon<\/strong> ; This time, we head north, and we can see the Pelvoux <\/strong>in the distance, as well as the Brian\u00e7onnais mountains<\/strong>. Then we attack the descent<\/strong>, at first gentle, then a small steep slope in tight hairpin bends completes this superb walk<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Vigneaux<\/em>Grand Parcher Circuit<\/h3><\/div>\n\n

Along the Gyronde<\/strong>, under the Montbrison <\/strong>and the T\u00eates<\/strong>, this very easy<\/strong> loop is a perfect prologue to the atmosphere of the Vallouise<\/strong> valley, alternating between shadow and light, between undergrowth<\/strong> and flowery meadow<\/strong>. The return, on a balcony<\/strong>, takes up the adret <\/strong>, to cross the Rif <\/strong>and see the gorges of the Durance<\/strong> in the distance. <\/p>\n\n

Freissini\u00e8res<\/em>Circuit of the plain<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A plain<\/strong>, a stream<\/strong>, sun and flowers, what more could you ask for for a quiet family walk.<\/strong> Sheltered from the noise and hustle and bustle of the Durance, this loop is perfect for a peaceful outing,<\/strong> discovering the unspoilt valley of Freissini\u00e8res, with the added bonus of a view of the chasm of Gourfouran<\/strong> on one side of the loop, and Dormillouse<\/strong> on the other.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

L’Argenti\u00e8re-La Bess\u00e9e<\/em>Blue thistles<\/h3><\/div>\n\n

The blue thistle<\/strong>, also known as the Queen of the Alps<\/strong>, is a flower that knows how to make itself desired. Once you reach the Fournel<\/strong> valley, you only want that, so the pedal stroke accelerates along this narrow and wild valley<\/strong>, on a relatively flat route once you have entered the valley. At the end of the route is the Deslioures biological reserve, created in 1993, which is home to one of the largest populations of blue thistles in<\/strong> Europe<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
