Trails and flow Heading for 220km of freedom

The Pays des Écrins offers an extensive mountain biking and e-MTB network of 220 km of marked trails, managed by the Communauté de Communes du Pays des Écrins, divided into 20 routes accessible to all: from gentle terrain to steeper slopes, there’s something for every rider. As you ride through valleys and along ridges, the diverse landscapes reveal, in turn, larch forests, flower-filled alpine meadows, and panoramic views of the glaciers.

Three valleys, three atmospheres

Vallouise-Pelvoux single tracks and balcony trails

Around Vallouise-Pelvoux, the FFC-labelled routes criss-cross undergrowth and ravines, with differences in altitude of up to 900 m. The routes vary from a few kilometres for initiation to longer loops for experienced mountain bikers.

Puy Saint Vincent Bike Park and Enduro Mountain Bike

At an altitude of 1,600 m, the Puy Saint Vincent Bike Park offers two detachable chairlifts and seven slopes for all levels. From the green one perfect for beginners to the black one reserved for the most experienced, the wooden and wall-rides modules punctuate a preserved setting, while the 900 m difference in altitude ensures sustained descents when the resort is open, from July to the end of August.

Freissinières , shaded loops and rivers

The trails around Freissinières offer six shaded loops, between 6 and 22 km, ideal in hot weather. These routes wind along streams and through forests and meadows, with views of waterfalls and traditional hamlets of the valley. Their playful nature makes them an adventure playground for mountain bikers looking for a quiet escape.

The Grand Tour of the Écrins Long-distance roaming

For those who like to roam, the Grand Tour des Écrins is a Grande Traversée VTT-FFC of nearly 388 km over 11 days (or 16 days by e-MTB). This ambitious route goes around the seven peripheral valleys of the national park, alternating between passes, wild valleys and views of the peaks culminating at more than 4,000 m.
