In September, the village of L’Argentière-la-Bessée will host the second edition of the Travel Festival: La Rose des Vents, 2nd Edition. Organized by the Pays des Écrins Tourist Office in partnership with the town, this immersive festival invites amateurs and enthusiasts of drawing, writing, and the mountains to explore the Vallouise and Écrins region through art. Over the course of three days, the festival offers a rich and varied program: lectures, book signings by local authors, hands-on workshops, and, above all, guided sketching walks to iconic sites such as the Glacier Blanc, Lac de la Roche-de-Rame, Ailefroide, and Dormillouse.
The experience is aimed at all levels, from the novice wishing to learn about the “first traits” to the experienced artist in search of nature inspiration, with professional supervisors such as Éric Savoldelli, Morgane Berger or Louis Godard.
Set in a spectacular natural setting, in the heart of the Écrins massif, this festival is an invitation to slow down, observe and capture not only the reliefs and the alpine lights, but above all the personal impressions of those who wish to tell the story of the territory differently, pencil in hand.
