The resorts of Puy Saint Vincent and Pelvoux-Vallouise are proud to host the Youth Ski Mountaineering World Cup, an internationally renowned sporting event.

During these five days of intense competition, the young athletes will compete in a variety of events, ranging from vertical races to relays, as well as individual races and sprints that promise to be thrilling.

The surroundings of our two ski resorts—Puy Saint Vincent and Pelvoux-Vallouise—with their majestic landscapes and steep slopes, provide the ideal setting for this competition. You’ll be able to enjoy not only the high-level athletic performances but also the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

During these five days of intense competition, the young athletes will compete in a variety of events, ranging from vertical races to relays, as well as individual races and sprints that promise to be thrilling. Each event will showcase the participants’ exceptional abilities, with courses carefully designed to test their skill and resilience in the face of natural challenges.

The Pays des Écrins region, with its majestic landscapes and steep slopes, provides the perfect setting for this competition. You’ll be able to enjoy not only top-level athletic performances but also the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding mountains.

  • Public Access [ Bergerie Gondola 1,600 m – 2,100 m ]

VERTICAL RACE Pelvoux-Vallouise:

  • Lift Access for Fans [ TSF Préron 1,200 m – 2,300 m ]

  • INDIVIDUAL & VERTICAL Awards Ceremony [Pelvoux-Vallouise Base Area] featuring an alphorn concert
  • Competition Areas: Races will take place in the Lauzes and La Pendine sectors; the rest of the resort will remain open during the competitions. The upper part of the Pelvoux resort will be reserved for racers on Wednesday; the rest of the resort will remain open.
  • Base camps for spectators: the Les Bartavelles mountain restaurant in Puy Saint Vincent and the start and finish areas in Pelvoux will offer the best views.
  • Training: Runners will be able to train on the “ski mountaineering” certified trail in Puy Saint Vincent before and during the rest day.
