Oases of Freedom: A Week of Downhill Skiing and Relaxation in Pelvoux-Vallouise,

In the heart of the Écrins, La Vallouise offers a 6-day/7-night stay in a ski area on a human scale: downhill skiing, hiking, or relaxation. Cozy accommodations near the slopes, with a wellness area. A warm, family-friendly atmosphere and views of the Écrins National Park.
Just outside the Écrins National Park, Auberge La Blanche invites you to enjoy an authentic, crowd-free ski getaway. Here, there are no large, impersonal resorts: 25 km of slopes served by 7 ski lifts are more than enough to satisfy both beginner and experienced skiers alike, all in a pristine setting with views of the mountain peaks.
After a day on the slopes, head to the lodge’s wellness area (hot tub, sauna, cold plunge pool) to recharge, before savoring Laurent and Karine’s hearty, home-style cooking, featuring the flavors of the Alpine region. Come evening, the warm atmosphere of the old vaulted chalet, with its wood-burning fire and solid-wood tables, invites friendly conversation.
This self-guided stay (7 days, half-board) lets everyone set their own pace: ski on your own in the morning, take a lunch break with a view of the snow-capped peaks, then hit the slopes again in the afternoon—or simply enjoy a quiet moment by the fire. Thrill-seekers can also try their hand at freeriding in the resort’s off-piste area, accompanied by an instructor.
A week designed for those seeking skiing without the hustle and bustle, in a magnificent and unspoiled setting.
