A preserved valley in the heart of winter
The Onde valley, nestled in the Pays des Écrins, offers a peaceful and authentic face from the first snow.
Traditional hamlets such as Villard or Grand Parcher fit naturally into the décor: whitewashed roofs, hushed silence, pure light. Here, winter is not a showcase, it’s an atmosphere.
The frozen larches, the partially frozen river and the snow-covered paths make up a simple, soothing picture, without artifice. People come here to seek calm, a direct relationship with nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the big resorts.
A Nordic playground on a human scale
The Onde Valley is also a place for winter activities, designed for all levels.
The Vallouise Nordic area offers 35 km of cross-country ski trails between forests, clearings and riverbanks. Thanks to artificial snow, the valley guarantees a long season, from November to March.
On snowshoes, there are many routes that allow you to explore the surroundings gently, such as the loop to the Pimouget chalet.
Entertainment punctuates the season: biathlon initiations, concerts, full moon evenings or even “Avalanche Game” to discover safety in the mountains.
The Vallouise Nordic chalet completes the experience with a bag-free area, a terrace and a warm welcome. A well-deserved break after the effort.
