The Festival Autour de Brassens in l’Argentière-La-Bessée is an annual festival that pays tribute to the musical and poetic legacy of Georges Brassens and other French chansonniers of the twentieth century. This year is the 19th edition, organized with passion by Maurice and Hélène Bonnardel and their team from the Autour de Brassens association.
By bringing together admirers of Brassens and lovers of French music, the event makes a contribution to the enrichment of local cultural life and thestrengthening of community ties.
Every evening at 8:30 p.m., the cultural centre of L’Argentière-la-Bessée welcomes passionate artists who pay tribute to Brassens and other figures of French song. The festival has been able to seduce the public since its creation in 2007 thanks to a carefully chosen program and energetic performances.
It was a Brassens festival in Vaison-la-Romaine that inspired the Bonnardels to create this event. Thanks to their willingness and their network of contacts, they manage to find talented artists, even beyond their region.
