In July, the village of L’Argentière-la-Bessée hosts the very first edition of the “Carnets de Voyage” Festival. Organised by the Pays des Écrins Tourist Office in partnership with the municipality, this immersive festival invites amateurs and enthusiasts of drawing, writing or the mountains to explore the territory of Vallouise and the Écrins artistically. For three days, the festival offers a rich and varied programme: conferences, signing sessions by local authors, practical workshops, and above all guided sketch walks to emblematic sites such as the Glacier Blanc, the Roche-de-Rame lake, Ailefroide or Dormillouse.
The experience is aimed at all levels, from the novice wishing to learn about the “first traits” to the experienced artist in search of nature inspiration, with professional supervisors such as Éric Savoldelli, Morgane Berger or Louis Godard.
Set in a spectacular natural setting, in the heart of the Écrins massif, this festival is an invitation to slow down, observe and capture not only the reliefs and the alpine lights, but above all the personal impressions of those who wish to tell the story of the territory differently, pencil in hand.
