The Pelvoux-Vallouise resort and the Pelvoux-Vallouise cross-country ski area invite you to join them for a weekend of sports, festivities, and fun for everyone during the Fête du Ski. Below are the four events taking place on the weekend of January 17 and 18.

• A day dedicated to alpine activities:
• Introductory Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding Lessons
• Parallel Slalom (open to all)
• Freestyle & Border-Cross Park with the ESF
• Introduction to Skiing for People with Disabilities and First-Time Ski Chair Experiences

• The season’s biggest ski touring event:
• Outlet Village & Equipment Testing
• Guided introductory hikes (300 m elevation gain)
• Hike to the Sommet de la Blanche confirmed (900 m elevation gain)
• Safety Workshops (Avalanche Transceiver, Shovel, Probe)
• Free event (except for Roc Écrins outings: 70 € per person).

The Nordic en Vallouise association invites you to enjoy a wonderful day at the Vallouise cross-country skiing area, featuring a variety of activities:

• Introduction to Cross-Country Skiing (Classic & Skating)
• Biathlon Introduction (Laser for Kids / Lead for Adults)
• Chrono Tour and Day-Long Nordic Skiing
• Games for kids: ski hockey, relay races, timed challenges
• Light meals available on-site

The Kilomètre Vertical (KV) is a ski mountaineering event open to everyone, held on January 18,
2026, in the Pelvoux-Vallouise ski area. Listed on the FFME calendar, the race awards
points toward the French Vertical Race Cup for FFME members.

The route starts at the resort’s base and leads to the summit of the Crête along a challenging, entirely uphill “
” trail.

This question can be approached from two complementary perspectives:

• a competitive category, intended for experienced runners, with the goal of beating the course re
  set by Julien Michelon in 38 minutes and 18 seconds during the last race;
• A “Discovery” section, open to anyone who wants to try their hand at KV, challenge themselves, or simply enjoy the experience at their own pace.

Participants, whether licensed or unlicensed, set off on one of the two available courses, with two separate starting points:

• KV 1,000 m elevation gain – Men’s/Women’s Open
  → Start at 9:00 a.m.
• Half-KV, 500 m elevation gain – Open Division (men/women, youth) → Start at 9:15 a.m.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. at the summit, weather-
, or at 11:00 a.m. at the base in case of bad weather.

Depending on snow and weather conditions:

• Activities and welcome by the Tourist Office
• PGHM Booths & Écrins National Park
• Avalanche Game (Saturday, 2:00–4:00 p.m., at the Nordic ski area)
• Free concert at the Altitude Jazz Festival (Sunday,11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., at the Nordic Ski Area)
• Light meals available at both locations

La Vallouise Nordic Ski Area

• Free on the beginner’s trail in the Vallouise Valley
• €5 / 3 hours – €8 / day for the rest of the resort, subject to snow conditions

Pelvoux-Vallouise Alpine Resort, special weekend rates:

• Ski Pass (Lower Slopes): €13.50
• 1-Day Pass: €24
• 2-Day Pass: 48 €
• Skiers with disabilities (CMI): free
• Chaperones/supervisors: €13.50 per day
• Packages available starting January 16.
