Visiting a village, a valley or an old mine is good. But doing it in adventure game mode is even better! With the Écrins Heritage Fun Trails, you can rediscover the territory while having fun. Thanks to the free LegendR app, each walk becomes a playful immersion in local history. Four courses, four atmospheres: it’s up to you.
1 Ailefroide, the cradle of mountaineering
(1h30 – free)
This is where mountaineering was born. The trail takes you between forests and peaks, in the footsteps of the first guides. You explore an unlikely hotel, climb like the old way, listen to testimonies… and answer the quizzes to find out everything without getting bored for a second.
2. Fournel Silver Mines
(2h30 including 1h15 underground – paying)
App in hand, helmet on your head, you descend into the heart of an authentic mine. The minecarts, tools and machines of the nineteenth century are brought back to life thanks to augmented reality. Bonus: the underground tour is guided. Reservation essential!

- Duration: 2h30 including 1h15 underground

3. The mystery of the church of Les Vigneaux
(1 hour – free)
Do you want to solve a life-size riddle? Head for the Saint-Laurent church. Between medieval frescoes and interactive games, the adventure takes you in search of the Seven Deadly Sins. Ideal for families.
4. Falling from water Penstocks
(1 hour – free)
A walk that follows the impressive water pipes of L’Argentière. You follow Gilbert, a slightly crazy kayaker, between galleries and dams. No need for a swimsuit, but beware of vertigo!
