Fatbike

Ride Frosty!

Want to test the snow in a different way? The snow fatbike is the perfect mix between mountain biking and winter sports. Thanks to its XXL tyres and electric assistance, you can climb quietly… or go down at full speed, depending on the mood of the day. A fun, accessible, and truly original activity!

Where to ride a mountain bike on snow?

Puy Saint Vincent is the pioneer resort of fat biking on snow.
Since 2017, a dedicated area has been waiting for you at the top of the Prés chairlift. Two descents of 450 m in altitude take you on a controlled slide – beginners welcome, sensations guaranteed.

In the afternoon, the Nordic area, perched up to 2,650 m, reserves a wide groomed trail especially for fatbikers. Perfect for riding safely, away from the hustle and bustle of skiers!

As for the gear, we’re filling up on grip

Fatbikes are equipped with wide tires (4 to 5 inches), inflated at low pressure for maximum grip on fresh or hardened snow. Electric assistance is strongly recommended: everyone gets on at their own pace, everyone gets off together. Rental models can easily last half a day, even in -10°C.

What to pack in your bag

  • Enduro helmet (mandatory)
  • Warm and breathable gloves
  • Sunglasses or goggles
  • Light technical jacket (the down jacket, you forget it to pedal…)

Ready for adventure? Book your fatbike ride, adjust the tire pressure, and draw your line on the slopes of the Pays des Écrins.
