Accommodation and information

Within the meaning of Article D-324-1 of the Tourism Code, furnished tourist accommodation is furnished villas, apartments, or studios, for the exclusive use of the tenant, offered for rent to a transient clientele who stay there characterized by a daily, weekly or monthly rental and who do not take up residence there.

The classification is voluntary and not compulsory, it is awarded for a period of 5 years. To be classified, the furnished tourist accommodation must meet the 133 control criteria (mandatory and optional) of the classification table according to the decree of 24 November 2021 amending the decree of 2 August 2010, setting the standards and the procedure for the classification of furnished tourist accommodation. This table is divided into three chapters:

The declaration of the furnished property to the town hall is mandatory, whether the furnished property is classified or not.
(Warning: the owner who does not declare his furnished property is exposed to a 3rd class fine: 450 €)

Decree laying down the standards and procedure for the classification of furnished tourist accommodation.

The Community of Municipalities of the Pays des Écrins has instituted a tourist tax based on the actual basis throughout its territory. This tax is governed by deliberation each year, voted by the community council of the Community of Municipalities of the Pays des Écrins.

The revenue from the tourist tax is intended to encourage tourist attendance in the community or to expenditure relating to actions to protect and manage natural areas for tourism purposes in our territory.
